Rylander International Day Parade

Thank you so much for signing up to participate in the 2021 Rylander International Day Parade!

The parade will take place on Saturday, March 6th at 1pm. We estimate that the parade will likely last 2-3 hours total.

We are asking each of you to decorate your vehicle to represent your identified country.  You can paint your car, hang decorations & flags, write words, wear traditional clothing, etc.  I know that many of you are very creative and probably already have ideas that we have not even thought of.  The main goal of this event is to educate our Rylander students (and their families) about different countries and cultures.

In the next few weeks the planning committee will communicate more specific information about our parade including participant meeting place and route information.

Answers to FAQs from the google survey:

Is each country only allowed one car?  Several countries will have more than one car in the parade- that it ok!  We are not limiting each country to only one car.

Can more than one family work on a float/vehicle together?  Can more than one family ride together in one car? We are asking that each car in our parade contains only members of your family/bubble group.  It is important to us that this event is safe and socially distanced.

Can we throw items for the spectators from our vehicle during the parade?  Please do not plan on throwing items (souvenirs, candy, etc) from your car during this event.  The planning committee is trying to maintain as safe an event as possible and we feel that tossing items from your car could potentially cause a safety problem.

Please contact your parade planning liason with questions (or Devon at devonbhulyk@yahoo.com

Thank you so much,
